Sanctuary and advocacy for rescued farm animals
Sage Mountain is a 501(c3) non-profit organization that provides a sanctuary for farmed animals and advocates for their well-being. These animals include pigs, cows, chickens, goats, sheep, and geese.Located 10 miles from Park City, UT, we offer guided tours of the sanctuary, yoga, and invite volunteers to participate during our weekly group volunteer day Saturdays. We hope to inspire folks to reduce or eliminate all animal-based foods from their diets and live more healthy, compassionate lives.
Sage Mountain‘s Commitment to Sustainability
Eating a plant-based diet plays a crucial role in sustainability and wildlife protection by reducing the environmental impact associated with animal agriculture. Livestock farming is a leading contributor to deforestation, habitat destruction, and greenhouse gas emissions. By choosing plant-based foods, we reduce the demand for animal products, which in turn lowers the need for land, water, and other resources required for raising livestock. This shift helps preserve natural ecosystems, reduces pollution, and promotes biodiversity, giving wildlife a better chance to thrive in their natural habitats. Sage Mountain not only rescues animals who have been deeply entrenched in the system, they also provide education about simple ways you can reduce your footprint through our daily food choices.
