Certification levels

When you sign up, you’ll receive a list of actions tailored to your business that can help lower your environmental impact. Each certification action has a purpose and a specific point value, and you’ll earn points for every action you complete. You do not need to complete every action to become certified. Instead, you’ll choose the actions that are most relevant to your business. Certification is awarded once you earn enough points to reach one of our three certification levels, giving you the flexibility to build on your sustainability efforts over time.

Becoming a certified Green Business is about more than earning a badge. It gives your business a framework to recognize and build on what you’re already doing, identify practical next steps, connect with resources, earn community recognition and join a growing network of local businesses sharing ideas and best practices.
