Recycling has finally become a more commonplace activity for business and homes and is important to reduce waste sent to the landfill as well as to reduce the use of virgin materials for new products. For example recycling one aluminum can saves enough energy to keep a 100-watt bulb burning for almost four hours or run your television for three hours. Recycling can save money, saves resources, reduces waste, reduces pollution and reduces our carbon footprint. Recycling is also very easy to do and there are many resources available for you in this area to help get a good recycling program going in your home.

Curbside pick up of your recyclables may already be available to you now. If not look into hiring a recycler to come to your house to pick it up or you can drop off you recycling at either Recycle Utah or the Summit County Landfill.  Additional recycling information is available at ParkCity.org.
